VIRTUAL RESORT

Public demonstrations at the Ice House Innovation Space inspired unusual inquiries, like "How long can humans survive in virtual reality?" and "How big is it?" Misconceptions spread quickly on social media, thanks to inexpert critics and imaginative pundits.

I responded with a fictional retirement community poster and virtual reality experience, reusing 3D models and polygon meshes from another project. Virtual reality and spatial computing will bring about the digital media paradigm shift predicted at the dawn of personal computing. It will have social and cultural impacts. It has astonishing potential to revolutionize education. The small print on the poster reads: "NOT A PHYSICAL RETIREMENT COMMUNITY. REQUIRES 24 MONTH CONTRACT. STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS APPLY."
